How many sites do you host on each server? We not do have a predefined limit, nor can we give you an estimate. Resource usage is continually evaluated on each server to ensure there are no bottlenecks in the serving of your web pages. Who monitors your servers? We monitors our servers 24hrs a day 7 days a week, hence we are alerted to any problems within minutes, we have an arrangement with the data center to immediately notify us and begin troubleshooting any problems. How often do you upgrade your servers? How does this affect me? We take a proactive approach to upgrading our servers and ensure upgrades are carried out well before resource capacity is reached. Occasionally we will install more memory or increase the processing power or add another server. What OS do your servers run? Do you run Windows or UNIX? Our servers run Red Hat Linux Server. Linux is a robust, highly efficient, multi-user, stable and reliable operating system. Linux runs the vast majority of Internet websites; we estimate that over 55% of websites have Linux servers powering them. What happens if I exceed my bandwidth quota? If you have entered your current email address in your Cpanel the server will indicate by emailing you when you have reached 80% of your bandwidth limit at which point you may choose to upgrade your hosting plan. All accounts over bandwidth are suspended until the 1st of the month. We will never bill you for extra bandwidth without your explicit agreement first. [Back to top]
I only need a fraction of your Plan S, can I get a discount? Due to an overwhelming demand for a low cost low bandwidth webspace we have introduced a hosting plan called TinyStarter this plan has been designed with the novice or starter business in mind. What is Mailman? Mailman is software to help manage email discussion lists, much like Majordomo and Smartmail. Unlike most similar products, Mailman gives each mailing list a web page, and allows users to subscribe, unsubscribe, etc. over the web. Domain Transfer and Registration Can I transfer my domain to Tinyhosts? If you are transferring hosting to Tinyhosts then you need to update the nameserver records on the domain to the DNS recorded in your welcome email:
Nameservers are required to point your domain to the correct location, failure to update the nameserver records will result in your domain pointing elsewhere. To update your nameserver records contact your domain registrar or the company responsible for purchasing your domain. [Back to top]

Statistics and Log Files Questions Where can I download my access logs from? Using any FTP program, you can download raw access logs from your web site, and use any statistics program available on the net to run against them. In order to reduce downloading time all raw access logs available for download are compressed using "gunzip." These files can be opened by WinZip (for PC) and Stuffit Expander (for Mac).
You must FTP to ftp.yourdomain.com with your logon credentials as follows: username: username_logs@yourdomain.com password: main account password.

Parked Domain Questions What are parked domains? They point to the root directory of an existing web site you have with us. They allow you to point additional domain names to your already existing domain. For example domain.com, domain.net and domain.org. can all point to the same place, preventing others from capitalizing on your unique domain name. They DO NOT point to sub-directories of existing accounts. We also do not allow any software or technique that is designed to bypass this policy. Using an index.cgi to read the request headers and redirect to a subdirectory or having an outside host point a domain name to a subdirectory is likewise, prohibited. [Back to top]
Do I have to register parked domains as well? Just adding a parked domain via cPanel is not enough, you need to ensure the domain is registered and points to the same nameservers DNS of your primary domain.

How do I FTP files to an add-on domain? There are two ways you can use FTP to upload your files to the add-on domain: 1) FTP to your primary account and then navigate to the public_html directory and then to the directory/username you created for the add-on domain. Upload your files. 2) FTP to your primary domain (or to ftp.yourdomain.com) with the user: username@primarydomain.com where username is username/directory for the add-on domain and then the password is the password you created for the add-on domain. Can I resell my add-on domains? No, this is strictly not allowed we will remove an account from our server without warning should we find the reselling of account space. CGI Questions Where must .cgi files be placed? CGI files can be created in any directory. The cgi-bin folder is just like any other folder and is only created by default because of tradition. [Back to top]
How do I upload cgi files? Upload CGI files via FTP. However ensure the transfer mode is ASCII to avoid problems. [Back to top]
What do I have to chmod CGI files to? Since CGI runs under your username, CGI files must be chmod to 755. [Back to top]
My script returns internal server error? This usually occurs when permissions are not set. As a rule suExec will throw an internal server error when it considers that permissions are not set. Since CGI runs under your username you must chmod to 755.
